A Child is Born

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9: 6

While we share our Christmas Dinners and enjoy the gifts, please take a moment to remember the King of Kings whose birth we commemorate on December 25. Some of us spend too much time worrying if Jesus was actually born on Dec 25. It really does not matter. He came. He was born. He died so that we can have eternal life. A gift like that deserves consideration.

Persuasion

2 Timothy 1:12
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I havebelieved, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So what do you believe? Remember that everything you get from God, or know of God is decided in your mind when you are persuaded to believe. The strength of that belief is what keeps you moving toward your goal when everything in your life seems to be going wrong. Stand firm in your belief. Stand on the promises of God.

Caleb... This is What a Miracle Looks Like

When you pray without doubting, a miracle will come. If you have wholehearted faith your miracle will come. Six montha ago God gave me a vision of this longed for child. My vision was so clear I knew the color of his hair, his sex, the color of his skin, the time of the year he would come and the little standup curls on the top of his head. I asked God to bless this child, keep him safe until the time for him to come, and send the Angels to guard him until he reached safe harbor.

When he came he was exactly as I saw in the vision. He came on time. He knew all of us. God did one better because when this baby came he knew us. Oh yes, the angels were with this child since his birth, guarding and protecting him. His name is Caleb...another message from God. Caleb means wholehearted faith. Caleb was one of the two spies who followed Moses from Egypt that believed wholeheartedly that God's promises were true. God sent us a message from Caleb of old to remind us to never doubt, but maintain wholehearted faith.

How much God must have loved Caleb of old. Wouldn't it be wonderful for God to love you so much that he used you as a landmark to someone in need? What a wonderful thing...to be beloved and remembered by God.

Giving Thanks

Psalm 100

1Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is the time for family and friends to come together to remember the blessings and triumphs of the year.
November is a month when most are thinking about traveling to visit family, turkey dinners, and pumpkin pie. God has answered several prayers for me this week and I am supremely grateful. Take a moment this month to give thanks to the Most High God. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: Psalms 92: 1

Changing Your Mind

Romans 12: 1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We live in a world that is constantly changing. Technology changes from one day to the next. It is easy to get used to the idea that change is the norm. Our minds get used to change so we forget that some things are not meant to change.

Doctrinal truths never change. New revelations do not come down the pipe to make our foundation different. God never changes. The word of God never changes. Hebrews 13: 8 says, 8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

It is easy to drift into a train of thought brings doubt and confusion. Transform your mind. How?
Prayer. Prayer is a conversation with God. God will restore your soul and transform your mind to give you clarity. Submit to the Lord. Remember your landmarks. Renew your mind! Do it today!
It is still true that Just A Little Talk With Jesus Makes It Right!

Strength

Psalms 27: 1

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
         Whom shall I fear?
         The LORD
is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?

No matter what comes into my life, The Lord is my light and salvation. He is my strength and I will look to Him to bring me out.

Are You A Believer?

James 1: 5-8
5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord;  he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

Mark 16: 16-18
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Belief is an integral part of the plan of salvation. Here are two examples of Disciples talking about the need for belief. James says if you ask but doubt you are double minded and unstable in all your ways. Mark makes it clear that the first statement, "he that believeth and is baptized will be saved," is qualified by the next verse, "and these signs will follow those who believe:"...

The time has come to give serious consideration to this statement. If your salvation depends on the strength of your belief then it is worthy of serious consideration.

Revelation 21: 8
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

I find it impossible to believe that we can ignore the words of Mark 16: 17. There are signs who follow the believer. Are you a believer? Do these signs follow you?

Spiritual Warfare

Ephesians 6: 10-18 (NIV)

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

We are living in perilous times. If you are a prayer warrior you should know that your adversary is coming against you. He is merciless. Although his tools are deceit and deception, he CAN make you believe the pain you feel is REAL. Your job is to see through the devices of your adversary and bind the strongman using the power you received when you received the Gift of the Holy Spirit.  You have the power. Use it in Jesus Name!

Blessings,

Remember your fasting and prayer for TCH and the General Conference 2010 coming to Houston in September!

Eternity

John 14 New Living Translation

Jesus, the Way to the Father
“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home.[a] If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?[b] 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”
5 “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. 7 If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is.[c] From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”
8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”
9 Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. 11 Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do.
12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!
________________________________________________________________________

Do you fear eternity? Jesus told his disciples how to prepare for eternity. Do not fear...prepare. I am not foolish enough to tell you that I want to go into eternity today...but I believe in my soul that eternity will be a wonderful place. I hope when my time comes I will go joyfully into the hands of my God...my King...my Provider...my Friend...my Joy...my Hope...The Lord of Hosts.

God Speaks From A Can of Jalapeno Peppers

Proverbs 3:6
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Today I was cleaning my cupboard and organizing the cans together when I happened to read the back of this can of jalapeno peppers. Written very small in the lower left corner in italics was Prov. 3:6. Of course I had to look it up and lo and behold it was one of my favorite verses of all time that I had not taken time to memorize the source! Life has been a little stressful lately and suddenly the Lord reached out to me with a quiet reminder that He is the real source of my strength, provision, hope, delivery, life, and everything I can possibly need. God loves you and will go to extraordinary measures to remind you to trust him. Learn a lesson from the jalapeno can..."In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:6
Take time today to acknowledge the Lord in your life.

Don't Kill The Messenger

 PUSH
PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS

Do you ever get upset when you pray and pray about something and it seems to be thrown back in your face? Don't kill the messenger. Sometimes we get messages from the Lord that we do not like. They take us out of our comfort zone and make us generally unhappy. Make sure the Lord sent you the message and try your best to accept it. God will never have you do something that is impossible or impossibly hard. Then take a GOOD look at the messenger and make sure he or she is on the right track. If God wants you to change there is only one thing to do. CHANGE! THEN PUSH!

Keep On The Firing Line

Keep On The Firing Line!

If you're in the battle for the lord and right
Just keep on the firing line
If you win the battle surely you must fight
Keep on the firing line

God can only use the soldier he can trust
To keep on the firing line
If you wear the crown bear the cross you must
So keep on the firing line

There are many dangers that we all must face
If you die a' fighting there is no disgrace
Cowards in the service will not find a place...
So keep on the firing line

This is a very old song that was sung during the early part of the twentieth century. Many of the old songs were teaching songs that gave courage and insight to those walking in the path of the Lord. We need to bring these old songs back because they help us establish ourselves in our Christian walk.
Intercessors need to know that we are in a war for the souls of those we pray for. Our adversary will use every trick at his disposal to destroy the intercessor. Most of those tricks are in the mind. Do not let your adversary get into your head and mess you up!

II Corinthians 10: 3-5
3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

God's Promises

If you live by the first two verses in this chapter then these promises are yours. Praise God.

Psalm 91

1Whoever lives under the shelter of the Most High
will remain in the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say to the Lord,
“You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”
3He is the one who will rescue you from hunters’ traps
   and from deadly plagues.
4He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge.
His truth is your shield and armor.
5You do not need to fear
   terrors of the night,
arrows that fly during the day,
 6plagues that roam the dark,
   epidemics that strike at noon.
7They will not come near you,
even though a thousand may fall dead beside you
or ten thousand at your right side.
8You only have to look with your eyes
to see the punishment of wicked people.
9You, O Lord, are my refuge!
You have made the Most High your home.
10No harm will come to you.
No sickness will come near your house.
11He will put his angels in charge of you
to protect you in all your ways.
12They will carry you in their hands
so that you never hit your foot against a rock.
13You will step on lions and cobras.
You will trample young lions and snakes.
14Because you love me, I will rescue you.
I will protect you because you know my name.
15When you call to me, I will answer you.
I will be with you when you are in trouble.
I will save you and honor you.
16I will satisfy you with a long life.
I will show you how I will save you.

For You, Tiffany Psalms 27 The Message Version

Tiffany, I love you with all my heart. I am giving this to you because it is my favorite chapter in the whole Bible. I thought you would appreciate this version "The Message". It says it all!

Psalm 27

A David Psalm
1 Light, space, zest— that's God!
So, with him on my side I'm fearless,
afraid of no one and nothing.

2 When vandal hordes ride down
      ready to eat me alive,
   Those bullies and toughs
      fall flat on their faces.

 3 When besieged,
      I'm calm as a baby.
   When all hell breaks loose,
      I'm collected and cool.

4 I'm asking God for one thing,
      only one thing:
To live with him in his house
      my whole life long.
   I'll contemplate his beauty;
      I'll study at his feet.

5 That's the only quiet, secure place
      in a noisy world,
   The perfect getaway,
far from the buzz of traffic.

6 God holds me head and shoulders
above all who try to pull me down.
I'm headed for his place to offer anthems
      that will raise the roof!
   Already I'm singing God-songs;
      I'm making music to God.

7-9 Listen, God, I'm calling at the top of my lungs:
"Be good to me! Answer me!"
When my heart whispered, "Seek God,"
      my whole being replied,
   "I'm seeking him!"
      Don't hide from me now!

 9-10 You've always been right there for me;
don't turn your back on me now.
   Don't throw me out, don't abandon me;
you've always kept the door open.
My father and mother walked out and left me,
      but God took me in.

 11-12 Point me down your highway, God;
      direct me along a well-lighted street;
show my enemies whose side you're on.
Don't throw me to the dogs,
those liars who are out to get me,
filling the air with their threats.

 13-14 I'm sure now I'll see God's goodness
      in the exuberant earth.
   Stay with God!
      Take heart. Don't quit.
   I'll say it again:
      Stay with God.

Blessings, Aunt Sandra

Are You A Believer? DoThe Signs of Miracles and Wonders Follow You?

Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mark 16: 17-18
17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

 Revelations 21: 7-8
7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

We are living in troublesome times. Nothing in our world is the same as it has been for generations. Not only has technology changed our lives, but everything we thought we knew about our country has changed right before our eyes. Today Philipe Calderon the president of Mexico stood before our Congress and insulted the state of Arizona as well as the entire United States by stating that HIS people were being treated unfairly by the people and law enforcement of Arizona. The democratic side of the house gave this man a standing ovation and applauded his words. He said that our laws were unfair to illegal immigrants in Arizona. Our president stood beside him on the steps of the White House and agreed with this foreign leader's assessment of the situation. Our president and our leaders have lost their way. They do not even believe we should follow our own laws and even allow foreign leaders to come in and insult us on the White House lawn.  What is next?

My purpose for writing this is to make a serious point. We can no longer trust our leaders to guide us. Jesus said that if the blind leads the blind they will all fall in the ditch. This is where we are right now. Hillary Clinton said last week that our economy is in the ditch. What more do we need to know?

Our hope is in Jesus Christ. Glenn Beck said in a speech to Liberty University, "Turn to God and Live!"  He was right. So again I ask you...Are you a believer? Do miracles and wonders follow you?
I am NOT telling you to run out and drink poison. NOR am I telling you to chase snakes! But, I ask you if people are healed when you pray?  Do you pray for others? Or are you interested in your own life and no more?  You may need to check your prayer thermometer to see how hot you are. This is not a time to be casual about your prayers. This is a moment to pray more and make your calling and election sure. The Lord might just break the clouds of glory while some of you are arguing about whether or not this or that is a Salvation issue. You were not called to see how much you could get away with...whatever that might be! Jesus said, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me!" That does not sound like it was going to be a pleasure trip.

Are you a BELIEVER?  Pray because you truly overwhelmingly love the Lord. The rewards are truly AMAZING!

Dare to Believe That Miracles Follow You!

We pray for miracles. We wonder why they do not happen. It is true that we tend to overlook the small miracles every day but as Believers the Bible is clear that you will know the believers by the signs that follow them. There are many believers in the world. All love Jesus Christ without a doubt, but somewhere along the way we forgot that there are signs that are clearly named in the Bible so that you will know a believer.  Read this familiar passage and focus on different words. You will be surprised!

Mark 16: 15-20
15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

As a believer every one of you have the power within you that you received when you received the gift of the Holy Ghost. As a believer you should maintain an active prayer life that lasts more then fifteen minutes a day. As a believer who prays you will begin to see these signs that follow the believer activate in your life. God is not a respecter of persons and the implications of NOT having these signs following is truly frightening! It is the responsibility of every believer to ACTIVATE the miracle working power resident your own life!
To put it in simple terms...we have spent too much time following miracles...hoping to see something happen. If you are a believer...a true believer...then these signs and miracles will FOLLOW YOU!

If you have not seen these signs following you in your walk with God, PLEASE reevaluate your walk and learn to pray. Prayer is not easy at first. However, the more you pray the more you will want to pray and the time will pass so quickly you will not know where it went. AND YOU WILL HAVE SIGNS FOLLOWING!

The Visitation

Travail was great upon us, We bound together in prayer.
For deliverance from my Adversary...Who brought pain and much despair.
Work of years stood leaning, O’er the chasm of defeat.
Dark as Night the burden, and pain awaiting there.
My Adversary was joyful, He danced upon my soul.
He laughed and cried, “You are finished.” Then the Master took control.
Prayer Warriors joined in purpose, In One mind and One Accord.
A cry for help from Angels, Pierced the darkness of the Night...
Was met with Help from Heaven,And there Shone Down a Glorious Light!
Hosts of Angels running, In Power and Majesty they came,
bring with them His Royal Majesty. Our God, Himself, He Came...
His Light and Fire was brilliant. The Worship was Intent.
The Angels were ecstatic In the Presence of the King.
Prayer Warriors waited eagerly, their hearts still in travail,
When the Pillar of Fire came between them, the Adversary quailed!
Prayer Warriors brought their people to the Lord of Hosts that Night.
Angels ran to meet them surrounding them with Love and Light.
Protection from the Enemy, Salvation from Above!
Glory to God in the Highest.
On earth Peace, Good Will and Love.
The King of Kings among us, blessed us with Power and Grace.
Prayer Warriors and Angels  in chorus round the fire of God in the midst;
All ...Ecstatic in Worship and Adoration of our King.
The God of Heaven met with us; The Lord of Hosts is His Name!
Ha...llelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!  Ha...llelujah! Ha...lle...lu..jah!

The Sanctity of Holy Week

 Matthew 28: 1-6
1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Dear Brother and Sisters,

Easter is one of the most important times of the year for a true christian believer. A believer of Christ honors this time and his birth... or they should. In the religious world they consider Easter to be a sacred time of praying, fasting and worship; still practiced by Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians, and other  Judeo Christian followers.
I have taken a reflective look at our situation in the apostolic world on how we honor this time of the year. What I see is not what it should be. These religious denominations take it quite serious ...even the whole week of Easter for praying and fasting and reflection. I have been to some of these services and is inspiring to see that people who do not have the Holy Spirit in their lives to give great consideration to the LORD. They reverence this time of year and I respect their efforts. I pray that we [the people with the Holy Spirit in our lives] would follow their example. We need to humble ourselves, pray  fast, worship, and do deep soul reflection on where we stand as if we were in the presence of the Almighty GOD. HE who has given so much for us is deserving of honor , respect, and much worship.
I thank JESUS so much for the  Easter Blessing HE has given me. This means a lot to me because  he has sacrificed so much for us to have a HAPPY EASTER. I pray blessing on all the families of our church and to all those across this great nation as well as those overseas the happiness in JESUS.
Help me pray that people of the MOST HIGH would reverence this Holy Week with respect and honor that is due our Savior.
To all a Wonderful, Marvelous, and Fantastic EASTER. He is Risen!

The Lord's Supper

Luke 22

Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus
1Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching, 2and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people. 3Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. 4And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. 5They were delighted and agreed to give him money. 6He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present.
The Last Supper
7Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. 8Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover."
9"Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked.
10He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, 11and say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' 12He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there."
13They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.
14When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. 15And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God."
17After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. 18For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."
19And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."
20In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. 21But the hand of him who is going to betray me is with mine on the table. 22The Son of Man will go as it has been decreed, but woe to that man who betrays him." 23They began to question among themselves which of them it might be who would do this.
24Also a dispute arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest. 25Jesus said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. 26But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. 27For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves. 28You are those who have stood by me in my trials. 29And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, 30so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
31"Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you[a] as wheat. 32But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."
33But he replied, "Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death."
34Jesus answered, "I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me."
35Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?"
      "Nothing," they answered.
36He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. 37It is written: 'And he was numbered with the transgressors'[b]; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment."
38The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords."
      "That is enough," he replied.

It's Real, It's Real, It's Mine, It's Mine

Singing in a Brush Arbor During the Early 1940s

A recent discussion with someone close to me shook me to the very core of my being. I am an old fashioned believer. I have never doubted my salvation. I do not doubt now. The very thought that this person expressed the kind of doubts I heard distressed and disturbed me even in my dreams. It took me back to my childhood and I awakened with this song on my mind.  I couldn't get it off my mind for a week and all of us would do well to revisit the teaching songs of our childhood because thee is truth in this kind of music. I never attended a brush arbor but I heard a lot about it during my childhood that was not so farf away from brush arbor days.

 I Know

Some people say that this ole time religion is just a thing of the past.
But in this modern that we're livin', it's the only thing that will last.
Now you may think that I'm a little ole fashioned; Well friend that's alright with me.
But I'm so glad that I am a Christian and from sin I have been set free.

I know I know, there's no doubt about it. He lives in my heart and I'm gonna shout it
I know I know, my sins are forgiven. And I'm on my way to a place that's called Heaven.

Not long ago, at an ole fashioned meeting. I knelt on my knees there in prayer.
He lifted my burdens; Sins shackles fell from me and His presence was so real everywhere.
Now that the load that I carry is light, and he changed the grey skies to blue.
My steps are now higher, for I have this assurance that His sweet love will carry me through.

I know I know, there's no doubt about it. He lives in my heart and I'm gonna shout it
I know I know, my sins are forgiven. And I'm on my way to a place that's called Heaven.

Come go with me to that land over yonder, He's prepared for the pure and the true.
It's a place where sickness and death cannot enter, I'm going brother how about you?
Maybe today or maybe tomorrow, He'll return in robes of pure white.
I'm packing up now getting my things together, Who knows? It might be tonight.

I know I know, there's no doubt about it. He lives in my heart and I'm gonna shout it
I know I know, my sins are forgiven. And I'm on my way to a place that's called Heaven.

I know I know, there's no doubt about it. He lives in my heart and I'm gonna shout it
I know I know, my sins are forgiven. And I'm on my way to a place that's called Heaven.

Palm Sunday

Ancient Israel was called the land that flowed with milk and honey.  The Israelites left Egypt looking for this land and as a result the first Passover celebration was born. From the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea, forests of date palms grew and were cultivated, bringing fame to Jericho for the abundant lush growth of the date palms.  Judean dates were famous for their curative properties and it was believed they promoted longevity as well as cured diseases and infection. Ancient coins were inscribed with the date palm as well.

Recent Israeli scientists were able to germinate 2000 year old seeds, and bring the date palm back to life. The reborn plant is now about 12 inches tall and scientists hope to study the DNA of the plant and learn more about this ancient delicacy.

It is very likely that this Judean Date Palm is the variety of palm branch that was used on Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem the week before the Passover and his crucifixion.  The people of Jerusalem welcomed the Lord into the city as he rode in on a colt in direct response to the prophecy in the Old Testament. Take time to remember the events of this Holy Season as we lead up to the final days before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. This is the signal event of our doctrine and the holiest season of the year. Think Jesus!

Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
